中 “Lim Jong-hoon-Shin Yubin, Asian Games Table Tennis’ Biggest Opponents”

Lim Jong-hoon (26-Korea Exchange) and Shin Yubin (19-Korean Air) have been named as the biggest threats to home team China at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.

China’s Dingdongtitan self-selected the top six foreigners for the Hangzhou Asian Games in its content covering the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Week 30 World Rankings for 2023, which were updated on July 25.

Dingdongtitan is a Chinese internet sports channel with 39.7 million subscribers and 220 million single content views. It introduced Lim Jong-hoon, Shin Yubin, Harimoto Tomokazu (20-Chinese name Zhang Zhihe), Ito Mima (23-over Japan), Lin Yun-ru (22), and Chung Jing (31-over Taiwan) as foreign stars of table tennis at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Lim is the world No. 1 in men’s doubles with Zhang Wujin (28-Mirae Asset Securities) and Shin Yubin is the world No. 1 in women’s doubles with Jeon Jeon-hee (31-Mirae Asset Securities). The Ding Dong Titans labeled Lim Jong-hoon, Shin Yu-bin, and Lin Yun-ru as a nuisance “competing with China in every event at the Hangzhou Asian Games 토토사이트.”

Table tennis at the Hangzhou Asian Games is divided into seven events: men’s singles, men’s doubles, men’s team, women’s singles, women’s doubles, women’s team and mixed doubles, and will be held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 2.

Shin is ranked No. 9 in women’s singles and Lim Jong-hoon is ranked No. 18 in men’s singles. The pairing is also one of the top four in the world in mixed doubles. Unsurprisingly, they are eligible to compete in the table tennis team event at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Lin Yun-ru, ranked ninth in the world in men’s singles, will defend Taiwan’s pride against the hosts of the Hangzhou Asian Games. He and Zhang Ziyuan (42) are ranked 12th in the world in men’s doubles and fifth in mixed doubles with Chen Shih-yu (30).

“Most of the world’s top table tennis players are Asian,” said Ding Dong-titan. The Hangzhou Asian Games is as exciting as the World Championships or the Olympics. China will try to win seven gold medals,” he said, adding that he expects a sweep of all events.

Harimoto is the only player of Chinese descent to be included in the Top 6 Foreign Players in Table Tennis at the Hangzhou Asian Games. He won silver medals for Japan at the 2021-2023 World Championships in mixed doubles and the 2019-2021-2022 World Cup in men’s singles.

At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Ito led host nation Japan to an overall table tennis runner-up finish, winning gold in the mixed doubles, silver in the team event and bronze in the women’s singles. Zheng Yijing is a mixed doubles bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and 2017-2021 World Championships.
