This has led to a number of clubs showing interest in him. Liverpool, who were looking to strengthen their midfield. Arsenal were also interested. “The Gunners are in talks with Mount,” said Charles Watts, who covers Arsenal for global soccer publication Goal.com.
‘Rival’ Manchester United are also keen to sign Mount. “The Red Devils have revealed plans to pay £55 million ($896 million) for Mount,” reported Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
It turns out that Mount also wants to join United. “With no progress in talks with Chelsea, a move to United is Mount’s priority,” said David Onstead of The Athletic.
