Shocker. Darwin Núñez could have left Liverpool.
The Daily Star, a British newspaper, reported on the 8th (ET) that ‘Núñez could have left Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to shocking reports. He would have been part of a swap deal for Chelsea’s Joao Felix.
Núñez joined Liverpool from Benfica (Portugal) ahead of the 2022-2023 season for a fee of £85 million. However, Núñez needed time to adjust to the English Premier League (EPL). In fact, he was in the news for getting sent off. Just one year after joining Liverpool, Núñez has become a swap deal target.
The Daily Star quoted Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo as saying: ‘Felix left Atletico Madrid for Chelsea on loan during the winter transfer window in January. He scored four goals in 20 games for the Blues. Felix returned to Atletico Madrid after the season. Liverpool were interested in signing him and were willing to let Núñez leave in exchange. However, Felix wanted to move to FC Barcelona. Felix moved from Benfica to Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2019-2020 season. His transfer fee was £114 million. However, Felix was not happy at Atletico Madrid. Eventually, he left for his ‘dream club’ FC Barcelona this season. 메이저놀이터
‘Liverpool’s move is certainly surprising considering the fact that they only signed Núñez a year ago,’ says the outlet. Núñez has started just one of the Reds’ opening four games this season.
